About
Just a girl… who container gardens, usually in bare feet, on a patio in Sunnyvale, CA. I write about what I plant, and what inspires me. As a Systems Engineers, I look forward to keeping my garden low-tech and zen-like. You can see more photos of my garden on my Flickr page.

Hi Starjewel,
Horray for lots of your great posts but the 4-headed calendula is a ribbon-winner.
We’ve been lucky enough to be one of the five Community finalists at South by Southwest, which we thought was great. Other than that, the site’s had some nice success with a garden log (we call it Glog) which is shareable.
I am writing to bring our site to your attention. We launched YourGardenShow a year ago just about today and were lucky enough to be one of the five Community finalists at South by Southwest, which we thought was great. Other than that, we’ve had some nice success with a garden log (we call it Glog) which is shareable.
I am hoping you might suggest a way to get the word out about a new Initiative we are doing on our gardening website. This month, after 6 months in the making, we launch our Citizen Science activity portal – plant phenological data – with the oversight of USANPN. While YourGardenShow is principally for gardeners and in the US, this set of initiatives is for those who might not have their own garden – and we plan to expand to Europe (we are Euro-based) within the year.
If you get a chance, would you please look at our site, the Citizen Science pages, and see if it has anything you might be able applicable to you or something you’d be interested to write about? Hope so. Contact me with any questions or comments or if there is a way you think we might be able to work together to get the word out.
Best to you and a long and leisurely spring.
